FULI JAPAN: Better Sleep. Better Life.
Our mission is to help you enjoy better sleep for a better life. FULI JAPAN products are exclusively made in Japan to the highest standards. A good quality futon will bring you a good night's sleep, and the best relaxation comes from the best quality. Please give FULI JAPAN futons a try!
The Japanese traditional futon, known as a "shikibuton," is a type of Japanese mattress used on the floor at night for sleeping. This Japanese bed is traditionally rolled up during the day when not needed to free up space in the room.
These three-layer futons are designed to disperse pressure on the body, making for comfortable sleep even if you have back pain. Originating in Japan, this soft, rollable Japanese mattress can easily be set up on tatami mats on the floor to provide airy yet firm support.
We make our futons in Japan, focusing on the materials we use for stuffing and stitching. It took us years to find trustworthy materials and top-tier artisans. We're confident that our futons are the best on the market.
To ensure the best fit, we recommend the following Tatami Mat sizes for each Shikifuton: - Shikifuton (Twin): Tatami (Twin) - Shikifuton (Twin XL): Tatami (Twin XL) - Shikifuton (Full): Tatami (Full) - Shikifuton (Full XL): Tatami (Full XL) - Shikifuton (Queen): Tatami (Queen or Twin XL2) - Shikifuton (King): Tatami (King or Twin XL2)
To care for your futon, we recommend the following: - Use covers or sheets to prevent the futon from getting damaged or stained. - Wash the covers and sheets frequently (at least once a week). - Dry the futon in the sunshine or in a futon dryer (at least once a week) to make it more resilient, warm, and fluffy. - Lightly beat the futon occasionally to remove dust.
When airing the futon, remove any covers or sheets and make sure the whole surface is exposed to sunlight, preferably between 10 AM and 3 PM on a dry, sunny day. Do not beat the futon too hard, as it could damage the fabric and stuffing.
For storage, place the mattress on the bottom and the comforter on top in a dry place. If the futon will be stored for a while, dry it first and store it in a dry area with the covers removed. Ensure the storage area is kept dry and free of insects, and dry the futon on a regular basis even if not in use.
When the futon becomes dirty, spot-clean it and dry it well. This futon cannot be washed in a washing machine; please refer to a dry cleaner or a futon company for professional cleaning.
